SUPER SIMPLE CAPE GOOSEBERRY JAM

Ingredients:

250g of fresh cape gooseberries

1/4 cup water

1 cup of sugar
-
Fresh juice of 1/2 a lemon
Method:

Prepare gooseberries by removing outside husk/ stem and rinse the berries

Bring water, sugar, and lemon juice to the boil, and boil 10 minutes,
-
Add prepared gooseberries and continue boiling about 15-20 mins (berries will burst open)

Pour into prepared jars and seal, jam will thicken as it cools

Makes approximately 12oz. Recipe can be doubled or made into a smaller batch for little jars.
